Dogs Of Peja is a small, community-led project. We collect as little information as possible, and only what we need to answer you and to care for the dogs.

Who we are
Dogs Of Peja is a volunteer photography and rescue-support project based in Peja, Kosovo. We are responsible for this website and for the information you send us through it. You can reach us any time at hello@dogsofpeja.org.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. If you write to us about adopting, fostering, volunteering or a dog you have seen, we keep your name, contact details and the content of your message so we can reply and follow up.
- Donation details. Donations are handled by our payment provider. We see the amount, the date and any name or message you choose to add. We never see or store your full card details.
- Basic website data. Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as pages requested and approximate region, which helps keep the site running.
Why we use it
To answer your messages, to arrange adoptions, fostering, transport and vet care, to keep a record of donations received, and to keep the website working. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else is involved
A small number of service providers help us run the site: our website host and database provider, our payment provider, and our email provider. They only process information on our behalf. We may also share details with a vet, a shelter or a transport partner when this is necessary for a specific dog or adoption you are part of.
Photos and stories
The photographs on this site are of dogs and public places in Peja. If you appear in a photo, or you have sent us a photo or story and would prefer it removed, write to us and we will take it down.
Social media
We link to our accounts on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. When you follow those links, the platform's own privacy policy applies to what happens there — we have no control over their data practices.
How long we keep it
Messages and adoption enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful to the dogs and people involved. Donation records are kept as long as we need them for our own bookkeeping. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@dogsofpeja.org and we will respond as soon as we can.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
